The Potential of Group Visits in Diabetes Care

Compared to more ambitious practice redesign, group visits are a relatively straightforward innovation that offer promise in improving efficiency and encouraging patient self-management. This article reviews recent literature and explores practical issues from the authors' experience in a Midwest academic medical center and a West Coast family medicine residency.
